Manson, The Stoop, Longhope

Manson, The Stoop, Longhope: I recently came across this photo in my late Great Aunt Mary Manson's photo album. I am hoping that someone might be able to confirm (I was hoping that John Budge might be able to help with this one)that the soldier in the back row 3rd from left is Sinclair Manson. I also have Great Uncle Sinclair's dog tags with the inscription - S MANSON 31589 CAM HRS

Comments:
Mary I dont think I knew that Sinclair was away at the 1st war, when I was young there were so many of the old men who had been involved in the wars it was not spoken much as I recall.
Only as we get older and these people are no longer around do we wish that we had asked a lot more of their service to the King,.
Sinclair was a very resilient man to say the least and did not suffer fools gladly!! and why should these men, after all they had ben through.
It would be good to put Sinkies dog tags onto this site Mary, I wonder how he was in the Camoran Highlanders as most of the Orkney men were in the Seaforths were they not?.

Hi John, sorry I missed your reply. It's been a while since I browsed the site. Great idea, will get that done right away. Two tags stamped -
S MANSON, CAM HRS P 31589

John, I don't think this can be Sinclair as I first thought, when his dog tags are marked the CAM HRS. On closer inspection the cap badges in this photograph look more like Royal Artillery.
