For the record, Robert Miller represented Orkney in a 2-2 draw against Shetland in 1947.

I asked my mother who is now 91years of age if she could remember the names - back row from the left Mr Goodall(teacher), ? Sinclair (Finstown), unknown, David Scott (Shapinsay), Jack Scott (my father), Fred Buchanan (his father was a solicitor in Kirkwall), Albert Begg (teacher, went to Huntly) middle row from the left ?Harcus(Glaitness farm), Robert Miller, Jimmy Groundwater(from the shop in Albert St), John McPhail(his father was the Doctor in Dounby), unknown, unknown. Front row from left Jim White (his father was a vet in Kirkwall), Alan Findlay, unknown.
