THIS PIC WAS TAKEN ON A NICE CALM DAY AT THE BAY. A LONG TIME AGO THE TWO HEADLANDS AT THE BAY OF SKAILL WERE JOINED AND WHAT IS NOW THE BAY WOULD HAVE BEEN PART OF THE MAINLAND. AT LOW TIDE AREAS OF PEAT CAN BE SEEN ON THE SEABED.
