Hi can anyone give me any information on these to people they jimmy newlands is my great great grandfather and i thought jessie ellen newlands was his wife but i have read on pictures here that some people think she was his mother.Im researching my family history for my grandmother but have hit a dead end with these two so any information would be much appreciated many thanks
I think you will find that jock o pickie was a John Newlands who had two brothers (that i know off) Robert and William, He will have grandchildren living in orkney today who will know much more than I do. I'am the grandson of Robert Newlands and I'am also very interested in the Newlands name. Good luck Liza

Hi, I've just come across this website and I am very interested in my family history. My grandparents were from Orkney and lived there until around 1950's then moved and lived in Inverness. I know they were called Betsy & George Newlands but that's as much as I know. Does anyone know where I could find more Info for the Newlands family tree in Orkney?
