Bonnie Kirkwall Bay

Does anyone have the lyrics to 'Bonnie Kirkwall Bay'. I've tried the internet and can't find anything.

Try listening to the Alex Pollock (Dunoon) version on youtube.com and get ready to write quickly.

This is (more or less) the Jim Macleod version I sing in the shower....possible there are a few mistakes though! :D It was on a summer's day when I first saw Kirkwall Bay And the beauty of that scene I'll ne'er forget There was magic there was mystery there was friendship all around And a welcome that I'd never ever met Chorus Kirkwall Bay oh bonny Kirkwall Bay Friends all standing on the shore Yes you'll always shed a tear when the boat is drawing near Oh it's great to be back home in Kirkwall Bay When I landed on this isle I did tarry for awhile There was dancing singing fiddling everywhere There was gladness all around to the music's happy sound As it echoed out to sea on Kirkwall Bay

Our rent man sang that song and Lonely Scapa Flow. My dad loved those 2 songs sorry I can't recall his name now that is going back a long time ago now. [See picture #24867 ... - Steven]
