Begg -Airy Stronsay & Holland North Ronaldsay

Hello Looking for information & photos of the Begg Family (also maybe known as Watt or Imlay?) who were at Holland Farm in North Ronaldsay around 1919/1920 and then at Airy Farm in Stronsay from approx 1923 to 1943. CAN YOU HELP?

I hope this is to Ingvild Begg. It seems your old e-mail address has changed and I wanted to drop you a note and picture.

Hi Ingvild, It is so lovely to see your name and guess at your heritage. I am traveling from California to Orkneys in September and would love to kow more about my Begg family there. I'm so happy to find that they came from Eday and Pharay. I see on some online photos that may still be a Begg farm there. My great grandfather was James Alexander Begg b. 11 Sept 1823. He was married to Margaret Ewart Sidey. gg grandfather and gg grandmother were John Begg b.1798 and Margaret Cooper b. 1893. Can you make a connection?
