The Orkney Communities website has been set up to incorporate a number of technologies to help visitors to the site with limited or no vision. However we don't promise we've got this right yet, and would welcome any ideas for improvement of the site in this area. You can contact our web designers on info@plexusmedia.co.uk.

The facilities include a low graphics or 'text only' version of the site and all satellite sites, which can be used by clicking on the 'text version' link on the left hand menu.

There are also Access Keys for most of the menu items. For instance to go to the Radio Orkney page, hold down the Alt key on your keyboard and press R which will highlight the link, and then press enter to go to that page. The Access Key letters are underlined on each menu item.

Alt + H goes to the Home page.
Alt + C takes you to the Community Directory which holds contact details for organisations in Orkney.
Alt + E will give you the Events Calendar
Alt + N is the access key for the News Page
Alt + B allows you to hear the Notice Board
Alt + R is for Radio Orkney's daily bulletin.
Alt + W will take you to the Met Office's weather page
Alt + L is our external Links page
Alt + P takes you to our Image Library
Alt + F gives a Full Listing of our Member's Websites
Alt + A is the About This Site page
Alt + U gives our Contact Us page
Alt + Y is this page about Accessibility Information
Alt + M brings up the Help System for Member's Site Administrators
