The Register of Electors is to be published on the 10th of March 2014. If you are not registered you will not be able to vote in any elections, including the Scottish independence referendum. Every household in Orkney should have received a registration form by now, but if you have not there is still time to rectify the situation.

There are undoubtedly many who feel disaffected by politics and apathetic towards voting, however the referendum represents a chance to effect a truly meaningful change in the British political system. Don't give up your right to vote!
