The first cup of the season was won convincingly by Brian Kent in the J&B on Friday 19th June. The conditions were not ideal with a strong NW wind, too much for the Tystie who retired after the first round of the three, and the two yoles opted not to race and went back to the moorings early. Brian took the lead early on and widened the gap round by round, finishing more than 7 minutes ahead of the last skiff.
