Enterprising solutions to enable social benefit
Posted on 06 March 2012

Wednesday 21st March 2012, The Reel, Kirkwall

If you are already an established Social Enterprise you might be well aware of the challenges facing the third sector. There is a lot of support for starting a Social Enterprise, there is funding available but the message we are all being told is we must become sustainable.

This free networking event will explore the ways that Social Enterprises can generate income, move away from funding dependency and towards sustainability. Even if you are starting your organisation, this will be a useful event to help you network and plan for the future.

Discussions will cover:

•What does it mean to be sustainable?
•Procurement - what is it and is it suitable for you?
•Is there a gap in the market - what could you be selling and to who?
•Which local and national organisations can provide support.

Find out about resources, support and workshops available to you and how to access them.

Open to all third sector organisations, start-up or established Social Enterprises in Orkney.
