Welcome to the Orkney U3A website
The U3A is a self-help organisation for older people who are no longer in full-time employment providing social, creative, educational and leisure opportunities in a friendly, fun environment.
The Orkney U3A has been established since 2008 and has groups enjoying photography, ambling, crafts, botany, bird-watching, scrabble, music/opera, travel and play reading. Any member can start a group on practically any subject or activity. New members are very welcome.

The bots were out and about between Christmas and New Year looking for evidence of otter activity in the West Mainland, spraints and tracks were found despite high tides and ample rain. The roaring fire at the Merkister dried the outer parts whilst the inner was refreshed in other ways....
