Jennifer & Robin's departure. Posted on 18 September 2011 Hi Folks,
Just to keep you all up to date, it is with a real sadness that I have
to write that Jennifer and her husband have decided to leave Stronsay
at the end of September. Jennifer has been our Minister for just over
6 years and will be greatly missed by all of us.
On a personal note,over the years Jennifer has encouraged and inspired me in several outreach projects.and whilst I am very aware He holds everything safely in His hands , it nonetheless feels a daunting and somewhat lonely prospect continuing the projects without her.
It can be a worrying, stressful and sad time when a Minster gets the call to move on. We have to remember though, just as He travels with Jennifer and Robin as they moved forward in their own journey, so too is He with us,..so we don't have to worry
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."(..Philippians 4:6-7 )
These words offer us reassurance,We can take comfort from these words..So we know that He will be by our side as we,the Church in Stronsay move forward as a congregation into a new phase. We can take comfort from these words. on our journey of faith.. He will be with us, offering comfort, guidance and reassurance as we travel forward. We are His people, and He will not forsake us .
