Stromness Athletic Football Club

Stromness Athletic Football Club is the only Amateur Football club in the town of Stromness, situated in the West Mainland of Orkney. We have over 50 senior members and run two senior football teams in the OAFA 'A' League and the OAFA 'Reserve' League. Along with these we also have a Junior football team ( Under 18's) and also a Juvenile football team (Under 15's) our younger members take part in the S1 and under which is a 7-a-side league. Pictured right you can see Stromness harbour and the surrounding town.

The club has been around for over 100 years and we celebrated our centenary in 1994, in this time, as with any football club we have had our high and low points, however our most recent success at senior level was winning the Dick-Vet Cup in 2003. Picutred left you can see our home ground called the Market Green.

In the following pages we hope to give you some insight into our club including some of the history of the club, details of how our season is going and perhaps profile some of the more interesting characters in and around the club! Also, there should be a full events calendar with dates of games and training (where we would welcome anyone, no matter what football ability!) and a whole lot more.
