A position(s) has arisen for preferred contractor services working for Rousay, Egilsay & Wyre Development Trust. Duties will initially include general maintenance of the Community Garden at Rousay Community School to include fixing fences, painting fences and the shed, mending the poly-tunnel, deck cleaning, maintenance and common area weeding of the school garden. Other duties may include general maintenance at the Rousay Allotment Association site in the Pier area (including repairs to the poly-tunnel); and any other future project sites, as determined by the Board of Directors.
Suitable candidates must be able to attend the Development Trust project sites on Rousay, Egilsay & Wyre to perform these and other tasks.
No formal qualifications are required but the successful applicant will be expected to complete manual work outdoors. Necessary training can be provided if more complex tasks are required.
The successful contractor(s) will be paid upon receipt of invoices, within 30 days of the date of receipt. This position is ‘ad hoc’ and therefore the successful applicant will be registered as self-employed.
The successful contractor(s) can expect to earn an hourly rate of £10.00 per hour (please note the Development Trust is not VAT registered).
