REUNION TICKETS The deadline for purchasing tickets to the doo has been extended to Thursday 17th July. The Legion needs a list of names of all those that are attending three weeks prior to the event, so if you haven't purchased your tickets by then it will be tough luck!! Absolutely no tickets can be sold after that date. So far we've sold well over one hundred tickets with 40 folk coming from outwith Orkney. Go to the 'How do I get a ticket?' page for more info. Don't forget we are having an informal gathering upstairs in the Torvhaug on the Thursday night from about 8pm for anyone that is interested. Look forward to seeing you... Posted by Bruce Moar on 04 July 2008 Reunion Well Hi all, what a blast seein all the old names pop up, reminds us of what fun school really was LOL. Will see you all there and will be bringing Alison Mainland wi me too, (need someone to help look after us all Posted by Ann Sutherland on 22 June 2008 Aye Bruce beuy, See if your needing any stage effects on the night, exploding batteries, dead fish in a pool of acid, nasty accidents involving sodium and hydrochloric acid, that kind o thing, give us a shout, and I'll see what I can do. Cant promise to be in the Torvhaug on the 26th tho.... Alternatively, any tamer technology you need for the night, or the rest of the weekend, nip in by for a yarn if your at Williamsons some day for your bacon roll. Might be able to come up with something for your displays! Posted by Bryan on 18 June 2008 Reunion Hi, Reunion sounds like it's going to be quite a night (game of rounders suggested too....... could get quite competitive (Ha)Been living and working outskirts of Edinburgh for last 10 years (very happily married to Stewart my P/Charming) Hopefully make it before I head out to Australia to live (another 10 year itch ... )lol) Posted by Susan Mclean on 20 May 2008 Think this is a fantastic site. Great that all this work is being done. I'm really sorry I won't be able to make it, but will send some photos and a biog. Marraine can always fill in any missing gaps. Yep, we're still mates - 35 years plus and counting ... so I guess I'm stuck with her now :) Posted by Diane Sinclair on 11 April 2008 Busy Glad to see so much interest in the reunion, you've been very busy Bruce & co! Hoping to come up for it if can fit in with work, currently driving HGV's in London (traffics great when you get paid by the hour!). Wife and kids love going to Orkney but she's already said I can go to reunion on my own :-) Neil Posted by Neil McCallum on 13 March 2008 40th Birthday plans Just received a message from Bruce via my Bebo account this morning about the reunion - a pleasant shock to say the least! I am currently planning to spend my 40th Birthday on 9th August in Turkey and I think I'll have to go some to persuade my missus and kids that Orkney would be a better venue! I do however plan to visit sometime in the near future so if there's anyone out there who remembers me and wants to catch up, then please give me a shout. I keep my family website updated regularly, just search Google UK for 'Jonnie Barrett' and 'boxing'. Still terrible at remembering names, but some of the ones not mentioned that I'd like to catch up with are Mark Walsh, Jennie Leslie and Helen Kemp. I'll try and drop the hint to the missus 2nite and maybe arrange Turkey for July! Greta idea, all the best, Jonnie Posted by Jonathon Barrett on 12 March 2008 KGS Reunion Thanks for the invite. It's great to see how people are getting on. Unfortunately I won't make it because it's a bit far to travel. I live in Brazil. Are you going to get any pictures taken or videos done. If so, it would be good laugh to see the 'grown up' version of everyone. Posted by Johnny Kemp on 26 February 2008 It's a pity you can't make it. We have a photographer booked to take some 'official' photos at the start of the evening and there's bound to be lots of folk taking photos throughout the night that will be no doubt be exchanged via email. Posted by Bruce M on 27 February 2008 The Starling Ok guys so I may have missed a few meeting but there was no need to post my 'most embarrasing' Starling entry! Posted by Sheena Spence on 25 February 2008 Since you mentioned it Sheena I thought I'd better enter one of your 'least embarrasing' entries too!! I've also added another classic from Jack. Funnily enough I can't find my other contribution...honest!! Posted by Bruce M on 25 February 2008 Thanks Bruce, can't even remember writing that one, must have copied! Posted by heather taylor (millar) on 19 February 2008 REUNION INTER HOUSE ROUNDERS CHALLENGE I received an email the other day suggesting that since we were all getting together, what about having a game of something (football or hockey were suggested) on the Friday afternoon or Sunday? Having passed on the email to a few others I think the best suggestion I've received is a game of rounders. It's non contact and you can put as much or as little into it as you want. What do you all think of this for an idea? Comments please... Posted by Bruce Moar on 19 February 2008 Sounds like good idea Bruce, only after county show?,ah well if we're a bit rough we can put the bairns in to play for us,if thats in rules .Must get my ticket sorted soon looks like it's going to be busy .Nice to see names from past Posted by Ian Ross on 26 February 2008 Reunion Hi everyone, Now living in West Sussex with my wife Sarah and our 2 children (7 & 9).
