04 March 2016Pass it on Week - Orkney Gets involved!

Orkney Zerowaste are very proud to be supporting the national Recycle for Scotland 'Pass it on Week' from 5th March to the 13th March 2016. http://www.recycleforscotland.com/re-use/passing-it

We are very inspired by all of the events happening around the county during this week (and MOST weeks on Orkney, lets face it we are super re-users anyway!). We have at least 23 events around the county that we know about - are you doing anything get in touch with us please!

Andrew was on the Radio today promoting it - here's a lovely link here, he's about 24 minutes in. https://soundcloud.com/radio-orkney/around-orkney-friday-4th-march-2016

As you'll hear we've everything from family swapping at the Orkney Real Nappy Network event on Saturday, to the last of the recycled art event at For Art's Sake.

Stetoze Yard is promoting it on Saturday too with a free to take home table and a lot of the items at the yard at £1. We'll also be accepting donation for our new Orkney 'Lending Library' where we can have everything from tools, to car booster seats, we're starting to collect items to launch this new service in Orkney. Pop along to the yard and find out more.

On Sunday Mary will be at Dounby on Sunday and is happy to accept any of your old kitchen clobber aat the Car Boot sale so she can have a great 'Kitchenalia Swap Shop' at the Orkney Food Bank on Tuesday 8th March.

We've an online jigsaw swap on our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/OrkneyZeroWaste/), Waterfront Gallery in Stromness are hosting a 'vintage sale', lots of schools have unifrom swapping in their foyers so why not see what's happenning near you!
