We're glad to report that we are now able to sell our book internationally, with the addition of our 'shop' page.  The book "Voices in Chorus: Songs and their Stories from the Big Orkney Song Project" is available for the bargain price of £11, plus £2.50 postage & packing.

Orkney Singers is very proud to announce the publication of a book written by Sarah Jane Gibbon, called "Voices in Chorus, Songs and their Stories from the Big Orkney Song Project".  The book contains a cd of the 25 songs contained within the book, and consists of archive, live and studio recordings.  It costs £12 and will be in the shops next week.

This will be a busy weekend for the committee of Orkney Singers, with a workshop of singing all day Saturday and Sunday and concerts on both nights! 

Visiting artists Lise Sinclair (Shetland), Findlay Napier (Highland), Shona Donaldson (Aberdeenshire) and Norrie 'Tago' MacIver (Western Isles) join locals Dave Morrison and the Song Shop Trio in workshops throughout both days, and then everyone sings again at night in a concert in Kirkwall on Saturday in the St Magnus Centre at 7pm and in Stromness in the Stromness Town Hall at 8pm.
