Artists’ Sketchbook project commissioned by Orkney Arts Society and funded by Scotland’s Islands 2011

‘All Things Seem Possible in May’            quote from Edwin Way Teale

Three Orkney artists were chosen to fill 40 pages of an A5 landscape sketchbook during the month of May 2011. Each artist’s book will be published, in black and white, in an edition of 200. The books will be launched on 25th October in the upper library of Stromness Academy and a workshop will be held, by the three artists, at the Pier Arts Centre on Saturday 29th October. Copies will be donated to educational establishments and libraries. Income from any sales will go towards the purchase of art works for hanging in Care Homes within Orkney
