Welcome to Orkney Arts Society.

We are a charitable organisation dedicated to promoting the Arts in Orkney.

2009/10 winter season has an exciting and eclectic programme of events.

LITERATURE - Readings from well known writers including Iain Banks, James Robertson, A L Kennedy and Janice Galloway.

MUSIC- Scottish Opera make a welcome return with their production of Janacek's opera Katya Kabanova. Other musical events include The Fujita Piano Trio, Hoot Flute and Harp Duo and the Alex Yellowlees Jazz Quartet.

VISUAL ARTS - Thomas Joshua Cooper, photographer will talk about his work in November and Steve Dilworth, multimedia sculptor, will visit us early in 2010.
