Welcome to Orkney Arts ForumOrkney Arts Forum is the group responsible for the arts within the Orkney Community Planning Partnership. It also acts as the consultation group for the arts development service within Orkney Islands Council. The Arts Forum meets quarterly, in March, June, September and December every year. Membership of the Arts Forum includes elected artform representatives, alongside Orkney Islands Council, HI~Arts, Scottish Arts Council, local arts organisations and community planning partners. The Artform representatives are happy to bring any arts based issue or concern from the public and members of the arts community in Orkney to the meetings for discussion. If you wish to contact an Artform representative, please get in touch via the Contacts page. We hope to add regular News items to this site, as well as making all Arts Forum papers such as meeting minutes, available. To read the minutes of the meetings, or to view a copy of the new arts development plan for Orkney, entitled "Developing Orkney Through the Arts", please visit the Documents pages. The Arts Opportunities page will be useful for anyone working in the arts or wanting to develop an arts project. Information on residencies, funding, projects and sources of advice and support will be available here as they become available. |
