If you, a member of your family, or simply a friend find themselves diagnosed with kidney disease you may feel completely alone. NHS Orkney is not able to deal with enquiries. We are.

If you need anyone to talk to about kidney disease or the care of a patient suffering from renal failure or disease, then get in touch with any of the names below. They have all been through it, and know how to deal with the problems that will arise.

Maureen Drever, tel 01856 873819
Maureen is a carer who used to carry out dialysis for her mother three times a week until the unit opened. She is a regular visitor to the unit, and will be able to help with almost any of your queries.

Jean Geddes, tel 01856 811311
Jean was also a carer, and carried out home haemodialysis three times a week until the new unit opened.

Don't struggle on alone. We are here to help.
