Welcome to the website for the Orkney Community ProgrammeThe aim of the Orkney Community Programme is to enable community groups and organisations to decide how Orcadian culture should be celebrated in support of Highland 2007. To encourage as many people as possible to take part in the celebrations funds have been made available by The fund was advertised twice and the funding has been fully committed. A number of interesting projects have been awarded funding with the result that 2007 will see an exciting calendar of events and projects designed to support the Highland 2007 celebrations. This website provides details of the events and projects that have received funding. In order to assit you to credit Highland 2007, orkney Islands Council and HIE Orkney (formerly Orkney Enterprise) at your event we have placed an order for 4 pull-ups and 6 banners. These will be available to groups for use at project/events which have recieved assistance from the Orkney Community Programme. Click the links below to see the artwork for these items. DEADLINE DATES The deadline date for inclusion in the May & June edition of the Highland 2007 programme is Wednesday 7th February The deadline date for inclusion in the July & August edition of the Highland 2007 programme is Sunday 1st April Any group or organisation that may has an event during these months (particularly May & June) should visit the Highland 2007 website to submit details of their event.
