The Field Club are interested in and care about Orkney's wildlife, geology and natural heritage, recognising Orkney's particular responsibility to conserve nationally important species and habitats. Activities include meetings, field studies and research, and practical conservation. The club issues an annual bulletin and also regular newsletters; it maintains an Archive Collection and is a funding partner of the Orkney Biodiversity Record Centre.
