Marine life of Orkney with particular emphasis on jellyfish and hydromedusae - Talk

An illustrated 2 part talk about Marine life in Orkney by Dr Martin Lilley and Penny Martin .

Martin is a researcher in marine biology based at Queen Mary University of London. For the past ten years, he has combined surveys at sea and experiments in the laboratory to understand more about the ecology of jellyfish. 

Martin will speak in detail about jellyfish, hydromedusae and comb jellies, their life cycles and physiology and 

Penny Martin will show some of her excellent underwater photos of marine life in Orkney.
