INTRODUCTION TO CREST
CREST is short for Creation of Sustainable Tourism Destinations. It is a European-funded project with partners in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Yorkshire and Orkney. Sweden is the lead partner.
In Orkney, the Orkney Boat Museum is the lead organisation, working closely with the Orkney Tourism Group and supported by Orkney Islands Council.
Of course sustainable development affects everyone so a wide range of organisations is represented at our local seminars. You can read reports about the two seminars held so far in the LIBRARY on this web site. There are other useful documents there too, including a briefing note on CREST.
We would be delighted to hear your views and you are welcome to make a contribution to the COMMENTS section.
