'Orkney 2020: Our Vision'Orkney's Community Plan 2007-2020
Orkney's Community Plan sets out a long term vision on how the quality of life in Orkney can be improved in years to come. It focuses on some of Orkney's most important issues, including health, housing, transport,environment, economy, learning, culture and safety. The plan promotes the importance of working closely with the community to achieve its objectives. You can download the plan from the Council's website.
Recent PublicationsA number of local projects have benefitted from community regeneration funding over the last three years including: youth work in the outer Isles, Orkney Young Scot projects such as hosting the Scottish Youth Parliament and local youth conferences, the Papdale Meadows path upgrade, Glaitness Challenge Park, supported employment projects, a fire safety chip pan replacement project and much more.
